I've endup the week pretty well and with freshly new dessert that i've made. So I was thinking that the next week will be good too. Let it be!
And as always, I'll continue the same ''strategy'' to prepare my desserts in a hurry and with at hand ingredients.
This one was born from some extra nectarines that I had this day.
Because of the few warm days we had in here, I hadn't had the will to prepare something like a loaf or with a lot of dough. As I mentioned above I wanted to be a dessert made for an hour.
And at this time I remembered of this somewhere forgotten recipe that I had. I found it in a piece of paper between my notebooks...well yes, I still use the traditional notebooks :)
And I thought that the butter dough will fit perfectly with the nectarines that I have. Why not? :)
And here we are! With a brand new recipe (or at least new for me) in the rising of the new week. And yet - new week is kinda equal to a new beginning, right?
I think that this is the right moment to wish you a great and impetuous week!
Here you are the recipe for the day:
Ingredients:
Preparation:
In a bowl mix the flour, the sugar, vanilla sugar, the eggs and the soft butter. Knead the dough and wrap it in a fresh foil. Put into the fridge for an hour so it can cool.
We'll need a big piece of baking paper.
Roll out the dough onto the baking paper. Spread some flour onto the dough so it can assume the sauce from the nectarines during the baking.
Cut the nectarines into small pieces and arrange them onto the dough, but keep about 5 cm from the end of the dough so we can fold it and form a pocket for the fruits.
It's pretty possible that at this stage your dough is already too soft so you'll have to work quickly. Brush the edges with the egg yolk and the milks and fold as a pocket.
Bake into a preheated oven to 190C with a fan to nice and brown tan.
Before serving, spread some powder sugar and vanilla ice cream!
Bon apetit and until the next time, folks! :)
